brief: Design and produce a set of DVD menus for 'Man On Wire', the feature length documentary by James Marsh, on Philippe Petit and his tightrope walk between the twin towers.
solution: I wanted to convey the sheer magnificence of not only the feat of Philippe, but also of the World Trade Centre as a piece of architectural excellence.
The typographical construction allowed for the creation of an educational, factual tribute to the towers. The use of slow camera pans and Eric Satie's 'Gymnopedie' all worked towards creating what is intended as a soft, memorable introduction to what was an amazing acheivement and a beautiful film.
